Little Leaguers growing up way too fast

- Mike, my sons plays baseball on a serious level and he LOVES it and ca't wait to get to the field. We should be applauding devotion and their committment to being great at what they love. As a parent...i love watching him in both his triumphs and failures.
9-year-old boy told he's too good to pitch

- Honestly, the story must have it wrong because 40mph at 9 is not extaordinary. He is probably throwing 50 which at that age is unique. My son is a talented 11 year old pitcher and throws 55mph. That is towards the top end of pitching speed at 11. We've seen 60-62...but rare.
